Fantastic Photographer! Charismatic, genuine and professional. I've known Ted my whole life. He used to photograph my moms designs for her fashion company back in the 80's. When I was getting married I decided to use Ted as my photographer becuase I was familiar with his work and I knew he would do an exceptional job. We flew him out from Kauai to San Diego for the wedding and it was perfect. He captured so many emotions and precious moments. Needsless to say, I have no regrets. I cant recommend him enough.

My husband and I were visiting Kauai for our 20th wedding anniversary and secured the, unknown to us mainlanders, photographer, Ted Lauder. Ted was friendly, funny, and disarming. Very flexible. We actually had some pretty cruddy weather during our shoot due to a nearby hurricane, but had a limited schedule so decided to roll with it the weather and see what kind of magic Ted could work with the elements as they were. I wondered how the photos would turn out as it rained half of the time and my hair. My hair! Crazy thing: the pictures were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. We are BEYOND happy with our experience and our photos. (And with the rainy setting we have an even more interesting story to tell when our friends comment on our amazing photos... especially the ones with the umbrella!) Thanks, Ted! We shall forever more dub you "The Magician."

My wife and I had Ted take our 20th wedding anniversary pictures at the St. Regis in Kauai. Working with Ted was an absolute pleasure. His professionalism, attention to detail and creativity went above and beyond. His service level and communication since we left has been excellent. We just received our pictures and we couldn’t be happier. We’d recommend Ted to anyone looking for the best in professional photography.

Our family photography session with Ted was enjoyable and effective. He engaged with us and teased out excellent results, both posed and candid. A great volume of superb photos was produced. Enjoyed the whole experience. Highly recommended.

Ted was fantastic- his work is exceptional. His quality of work is very very rare. I have worked with several photographers and Ted is unmatched as a photographer. His work is beautifully artistic. He really knows how to use light as well as someone's personality to capture his or her best features in the most intimate and detailed fashion. He is also very punctual and very fair. I highly recommend Ted for wedding photography, bridal portraits, personal and family portraits as well as home/ landscape photography. If you need a photographer, Ted is your man! Thank you Ted!

AMAZING! Ted is incredibly talented - and makes the whole experience fun as well. He took pictures of our whole family and we absolutely love them all. The family portraits are artistic and beautiful, the images of each individual capture each person's personality. Truly instant classics that we will always treasure. These are some of my favorite pictures of all time. He kept it fun and became a family friend in minutes. I highly, highly recommend Ted. It simply does not get any better than Ted! I sought a photographer who was creative, a visionary, and operated in complete excellence and professionalism - Ted delivered beyond my expectations. We hired Ted for a full-day, 50th Birthday photo documentary/session. He was punctual, flexible, fun, and helped me and my guests feel relaxed. My wife and I got married in the backyard of a home overlooking Kalihiwai Bay on Kauai. Ted, our photographer, did a magnificent job capturing the emotion and scenery of our wedding. We live in the midwest. And on a business trip to Kauai I happened to meet with Ted. we hit it off and we agreed to bring him to Kansas to photograph my sons wedding. He was the consummate professional. And not only a great wedding photographer, he was a great wedding guest too. his use of our farm and family not only gave us great wedding pictures, it gave us great family portraits as well. Ted is a breath of fresh air! I hired Ted and flew him to Scottsdale Arizona to do the photography of my son's wedding. He also took photos at the rehearsal dinner. They are all fantastic! The wedding shots he did are beautiful, creatively captured in a very sophisticated and artistic way. Ted is truly an artist and sees things out of the box. Ted Lauder our friend and Family Portrait Photographer has created, time and time again, incredible and sensitive images of 3 generations of the Daniells Family. First Diane and Mark, then our beautiful son Evan,through his years growing up in Hanalei. We just had a photo shoot with Ted here in Hanalei with our granddaughter Kaya, her Daddy Evan and Gramma Diane and Grandpa Mark... at sunset on the beach here in Hanalei. Ted has been taking photographs of my children and grandchildren for decades. He keeps everyone laughing and the result is beautiful photos. My favorite pictures of my family have all been taken by Ted. He is wonderfully creative and it shows in the way he captures their personalities. He will certainly shoot the weddings when the time comes. I also have several of his nature shots in my house and they always take me back to one of my very favorite places, Kauai. I would give Ted two very enthusiastic thumbs up!

Well. I don’t think I can really express what your pictures meant to me.
Dave and I decided to get married in a very special place. I wanted to select a location in Hawaii that we would be able to call our own and remember forever. So I started looking for wedding locations and photographers in Kauai. There seemed to be a hundred options to choose from, but most of them seemed typical. Then I happened upon your photographs. I was mesmerized by the beauty you caught in your photographs. I would sit on the computer night after night and look at your photos, trying to decide which location I would like the best. I ended up choosing Hanalei Bay because your photos were so beautiful. Long story short, you helped make my dream come true. Though I was 50 years old, I had never had a picture taken of me that I was happy with. I finally found a photographer who could capture the happiness I felt on that day. Sometimes when I look at the pictures, I just cry. I keep my favorite picture on my desk at work. I will never forget that special day. Thank you a hundred times over.
I know you photograph much more beautiful subjects, and I imagine some people are just easier to catch looking good. However, you will never find anyone who appreciates the pictures more than me. Thanks again for your work. You have a very special gift.

Aloha, Ted! I was so excited when I received our wedding photos … they are wonderful!! I was showing them to everyone! I showed them to my mother-in-law. She was really taken back. She said these photos looked like something from a movie and could be in magazines! I be going to a family reunion and can’t wait to show them off to everyone there!
